Strangers Helping Strangers, the fan-based organization supported by Stangefolk, will be collecting non-perishable food items at the bands Halloween concert. The event is scheduled for Friday at the Dibden Center for the Arts at Johnson State College in Johnson, VT. Everyone that makes a donation will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including T-shirts, posters and CDs. Donations will benefit the Lamoille County Food Shelf.
Meanwhile, Strangefolk will be holding a costume contest during the first set of the show. Since the only guideline for the contest is creativity we hope that people take the opportunity to let loose a little, says guitarist Luke Patchen. It will be the groups first show since the Garden of Eden Festival on Labor Day Weekend. For details, visit www.strangefolk.com.
