Dave Matthews and Friends will make three late-night television appearances in the coming weeks. The band, which consists of Matthews, Trey Anastasio, Tim Reynolds, Brady Blade, Tony Hall and Ray Paczkowski, will be the musical guest on NBCs Saturday Night Live on November 8. The group will also perform on CBS Late Night with David Letterman on both December 18 and 19. The upcoming tour, scheduled for December and January, is being billed as An Acoustic and Electric Evening with Dave Matthews and Friends. While its rare for a band to play back-to-back nights on Letterman, Dave will likely be showcasing an acoustic song on one night and an electric tune the next (expect the same for Saturday Night Live, which gives guests two songs).
Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow. For complete details, visit www.dmband.com.
