New York City live music venue Tobacco Road been forced to close its doors due to financial problems. The club catered to the jamband scene, often hosting late-night shows and fostering a friendly environment. It was one of a few venues that bands and fans turned to following the closing of Wetlands Preserve in 2001. In a statement released late last night, the venue said, Tobacco Road all of it’s supporters over the years and is truly sorry it has come to this.
