Following past travels to Jamaica, ekoostik hookah will now jet further east this March for its European debut. The Ohio-based group will perform in Amsterdam and surrounding locales (with additional details to follow in the coming weeks) from March 25-31. In an effort to promote this event as well as its New Year’s Eve performances at PromoWest Pavilion in Columbus, those fans who purchase a ticket package that includes both of these shows (Leftover Salmon will open on 12/30 and the David Grisman Quintet will open 12/31) will be entered into a drawing to win roundtrip airfare from Cleveland, six nights dorm-style accommodations and admission to all of hookah’s shows in The Netherlands (as far as getting to Cleveland though, it looks like you’re on your own).

In other hookah news, keyboardist Dave Katz recently released his solo disc, Autumn Day which Jamie Lee reviews this month on the site.
