Wavy Gravy will host the Seva Silver Anniversary Concert to be held this coming Saturday night at the Berkeley Community Theater. The event which is billed as a ‘Mostly Acoustic Evening’ will include appearances by The Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Steve Earle and Hamza El Din. The Grateful Dead first performed at the Berkley Community Theater (located at Berkeley High School) on 1/13/67 when the group replaced a tardy Jose Feliciano and opened a gig for the Mamas and the Papas.

Seva’s effort include international service in a variety of areas. The organization focuses on, among other concerns, affordable eye care for those in impoverished areas and working towards sustainable solutions to poverty in Guatemala and Mexico as well as within Native American communities. One way to contribute to the cause on-line is through Seva’s gifts of service.
