Songs from the Tin Shed, the studio collaboration between Yonder Mountain String Band mandolin player Jeff Austin and The Big Wu guitarist Chris Castino is set for release on March 16. The pair will perform nine shows in support of the disc, routing from Austin’s home region of Colorado to Castino’s Minneapolis. The tour will open on March 5 at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver and conclude at the Cabooze on March 19. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, with the full details at Yondermountain.com. Castino, who underwent emergency heart surgery this past May, returned to the road with The Big Wu in the fall.
