While 2004 is shaping up as a year without WP, the members of Widespread Panic are set to tour and record with some of their other projects. Drummer Todd Nance has already confirmed three shows with Barbara Cue, including two dates at the Georgia Theatre on January 29 and Feb 6 as well as a Feb 21 performance in Asheville, NC. Meanwhile, keyboardist JoJo Hermann has announced a gig with JoJo & His Mojo Hand Mardi Gras Band to take place appropriately on Fat Tuesday, February 24, at 12th & Porter in Nashville, TN. Hermann also indicates that will perform select gigs with The Smiling Assassins, the quartet that also features the North Mississippi Allstars’ Cody and Luther Dickinson as well as Bloodkin’s Paul ‘Crumpy’ Edwards (who serves as an additional nexus, since he is also a member of Barbara Cue).
