The OM Trio will be in Eugene, OR tonight as the band sets out on an intensive tour of the country. This evening’s performance at the McDonald Theater Lounge is the second in a stretch of 22 shows over 28 days during which the three piece (thus the name Trio) will travel from the Pacific Northwest to New England. This run also includes eight gigs opening for Umphrey’s McGee (the latter four of which will feature Joshua Redman with UM). The group’s latest release is GlobalPositioning Record (in his Jambands book, site editor Dean Budnick describes the 144 minutes of the preceding Live disc as ‘stupefying.’)
