New Monsoon, which has been gigging with a few bass players since the departure of Heath Carlisle in December, has announced that Ben Bernstein will tour with the group in March. Bernstein, who performs on both upright and electric bass, has not been added as a permanent addition, although it appears that this is certainly a possibility. Meanwhile, Arne Livingston (Living Daylights, Steve Kimock Band) who has stepped in on a few occasions, will do so again at the group’s Portland and Seattle gigs this weekend. Beyond that, he will join New Monsoon for two nights of dual bass action at Cervante’s Masterpiece in Denver on March 12 and 13.
