DJ Greyboy (aka Andreas Stevens) who first collaborated with Karl Denson on two Ubiquity releases and later co-founded the Greyboy Allstars with him, has completed his latest solo disc. Soul Mosaic which builds on his previous acid jazz endeavors differs from earlier efforts as Greyboy draws in a few vocalists for structured songs rather than interlocked beats and samples. In addition, former bandmates Denson, Robert Walter and Mike Andrews (Elgin Park) appear as well. Greyboy will support the release with a gig at New York’s Knitting Factory this Friday.
