Savion Glover, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Michael Brecker, Nicholas Payton, Charlie Hunter, Christian McBride and Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts are among the scheduled performers at New York City’s Jazz for America’s Future on June 14. Taking place at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, the multi-band benefit will raise money for Presidential candidate John Kerry, who has staged several musical fundraisers since announcing his presidential bid. The evening’s festivities will be hosted by comedian David Alan Grier.

Organized in conjunction with Concerts for Kerry, a national campaign to raise awareness and money to elect John Kerry in 2004, Jazz for America will donate 100% of its profits to benefit the Democratic nominee’s campaign. General Admission tickets are $100, while students can purchase half-price tickets for $50 with proper ID. $250 VIP tickets, which feature reserved seating and a post-concert reception with artists and guests, are also available.
