On Sunday moe. closed out its final east coast dates prior to moe.down with a flurry of guest performers. On Friday at The Event Center in Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, The Disco Biscuits’ Jon Gutwillig added guitar to ‘Buster,’ while Bon Lozaga (Gongzilla) did the same on ‘Mexico’ and ‘Karma Police.’ The next evening at Brookhaven Amphitheater in Farmingville, NY, Chris Robinson and Rob Barraco appeared for ‘Opium’ and ‘The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.’ Finally last night’s show at Pier Six Amphitheater in Baltimore , MD featured Particle’s keyboard player Steve Molitz on Nebraska’ and ‘Captain America’ during the first set and guitarist Charlie Hitchcock on ‘Plane Crash’ which closed out the second.

Bela Fleck and Flecktones Expand Tour Itinerary

Bela Fleck and Flecktones who will not perform in 2005 have announced additional tour dates that now extend into November of this year. The group is currently on the west coast through the weekend, gigging Tomorrow night at Stewart Park Music on the Half Shell in Roseburg, OR. On August 5 the Acoustic Planet tour (also featuring Keller Williams and the Yonder Mountain String Band) begins at Kresge Auditorium in Interlochen, MI. The Flecktones will take a few weeks off after the tour wraps up over Labor Day weekend, before picking it up on September 28 at Tivoli Theater Chattanooga, TN. Shows are now confirmed through November 12 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver with additional dates to follow since next year will be fallow.
