The Sun Ray Music Festival# which will be held just outside of Athens, Georgia on August 27-29, has finalized its music schedule this week. The line-up offers an impressive array of musical flavors from the raw, acoustic vibe of the Larry Keel Experience to the delicious hip-hop beats of DJ Qbert – and all points in between. Best of all may be the gorgeous site for the festival, at which all parking and camping will be free. The land is just unusually suited for the event. festival production manager, Newt Carter says, There are 4 large 30 acre fields surrounded and separated by another 100 acres of woods. It is in Madison County where the neighbors and the local government are excited and glad to have us…all of us also the property has a 4th generation individual owner/caretaker.

There will also be no shortage of bells and whistles beyond the music to enjoy when folks need a break, We will have a 65’ ferris wheel situated to watch the main stage there will be a cinema, an arcade, a laser tag area, and all kinds of food from sushi to BBQ.’ Carter says, ‘And dont worry about being thirsty, there will be TONS of water. We have arranged for a tanker truck of potable water to be in the camping field, and for 90,000 16oz bottles of water to be in the festival field.’
The line-up includes the Funky Meters, The Radiators, Kevn Kinneys Sun-Tangled Angel Revival, Moonshine Still, Perpetual Groove, Randall Bramblett, the recently reunited Day By The River and many others.
