Umphrey’s McGee has doubled its tour itinerary, with performances now scheduled through New Year’s. On September 29, Umphrey’s is California bound, stopping in Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona and

Nevada along the way. After a string of dates up the left coast, the group will celebrate Halloween a day early with a headlining performance at Oregon’s Aladdin Theater on October 30. Umphrey’s will then head back east by way of the south, making stops in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia along the way.
After several years of playing local venues, Umphrey’s will graduate to large clubs and theaters in the northeast, performing in Philadelphia, Boston and New York, before winding down at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. on December 11. The sextet will celebrate New Years with a two-night run close
to home, at Chicago’s The Riviera Theatre. While Umphrey’s will headline most of its fall performances, the group has scheduled an intriguing October 23rd date with Stockholm Syndrome and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at the 4th & B Theater in San Diego, CA.
At press time, Umphrey’s McGee will go ahead with its remaining summer shows in Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia this weekend. Please continue to check the group’s webpage for Ivan updates. Additional Reporting by Andrew Brill.
