The good growers of northern California have taken it upon themselves to honor the Doobie Brothers via a product name. However, these are not the growers one might anticipate, as the B.R. Cohn Winery has created a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cab franc that it has named Doobie Red. This falls on the heels of fellow Sonoma County winery Clos du Bois and its J. Garcia line of wines. As for Doobie Red, there has been no official word yet from Humboldt County agriculturalists regarding any imminent co-branding.
