John Ellis, who wrapped up a run with the Charlie Hunter Trio at Yoshis over the weekend, will release his third disc with his own band in February. _ One Foot In The Swamp_ was recorded by Elliss core quartet along with appearances by John Scofield, Nicolas Payton and Gregoire Maret. Ellis’s group features Jason Marsalis on drums, Roland Guerin on acoustic bass and Aaron Goldberg on Rhodes and Wurlitzer(bonus Jambands.com fun fact: Goldberg is the second cousin, or so, of site editor Dean Budnick).
