Tonight, Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli will team with another generation of New Orleans funk musicians in New York City. Nocentelli will be joined at the BB King Blues Club by three-fifths of Galactic: drummer Stanton Moore, bassist Robert Mercurio, and saxophonist Ben Ellman. Keyboardist George Kaks, known for his work with Lenny Kravitz, will round out the quintet. Nodding to the holiday spirit, Yoshi Piamenta, the Hasidic Hendrix, will open the evening.
