Akron, Ohios Carousel Dinner Theatre will host a staged reading of the musical Cumberland Blues on February 7. The work, which focuses on a mine owner who wishes to see his two estranged sons reunite, features some classic Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter compositions as well as some new Hunter songs written for the production. Cumberland Blues debuted at The Stage in San Jose, California in June of 1998, and is now in the process of being revamped (as, apparently, is Akron).
