A number of intriguing acts have been added to tonight’s Tibet House Benefit . Artists now scheduled to perform at the 15th annual Carnegie Hall celebration include Trey Anastasio , Nellie McKay, Marc Anthony Thompson of Chocolate Genius, The Black Keys, Patti Smith and her Band, Antony, Lou Reed, Ray Davies, the Drepung Gomang Monks and artistic director Philip Glass. As in years past, one can also expect several unannounced guests and unique collaborations. Uma Thurman will serve as the event’s Honorary Chair, setting the stage for what will potentially be the actresses’ first collaboration with a former member of Phish.

After hibernating in the studio for much of the fall and winter, Anastasio will arrive at Carnegie Hall tonight armed with an album’s worth of new material. In the past few weeks, Anastasio has slowly begun to confirm his spring tour dates, including appearances at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and Bonnaroo. Atlanta, GA’s Fox Theatre has also announced that the guitarist will perform on May 6 along with his new band.
