The X-Ecutioners’ Total Eclipse is among the guests scheduled to appear on the first release from Conspirator. A new electronic project spearheaded by the Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner, Conspirator will also feature DJ Omen, who collaborated with the duo on Jam Cruise this January. Brownstein and Magner have spent much of the last year in the studio readying Conspirator’s first effort, which will be released in the coming months. Mixed by Matt Stein, Conspirator’s debut release will also feature appearances by Cheme, Joe Russo and Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger. In addition to a handful of new songs, Conspirator has also laid down reworked versions of Disco Biscuits’staples ‘Rock Candy’ and ‘Caterpillar.’

‘Conspirator is not a jamband,’ Brownstein says. ‘I’m in five jambands, I have more jambands than anybody [laughs].’ Instead, Conspirator will aim to recreate its studio compositions in a live setting, playing both in and out of the jamband circuit.
With Total Eclipse in tow, Conspirator will travel to Jamaica this August to perform at The Psytopia Festival. Taking place August 17-23, the multi-band bill will also feature Rahzel, Ozric Tentacles and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult.
