The 2005 Jammys Awards will return to the Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 26 and one important element is now underway. Whereas many other award shows limit their voting constituency to academy members of various stripes, in order to reflect the grassroots nature of the community that supports this music, the various Jammys Award categories are voted upon by the general public. Nine categories are up at the Jammys voting page with one new element being the Jammys Jukebox which allows folks to listen to the six compositions nominated for Song of the year (Counter-Clock World Stockholm Syndrome, Fireflies MOFRO, ’40 Days’ Chris Robinson, In The Kitchen Umphreys McGee, Man with a Plan Assembly of Dust and Woody Guthrie Leftover Salmon).
