Yesterday, we reported a number of unique weekend collaborations. Since then another pair of intriguing Saturday asterisks have crossed our desks. At Wallingford, CTs Oakdale Theater, RANA guitarist Scott Metzger joined Govt Mule for an encore take on Neil Youngs Cortez the Killer. Confirming longstanding rumors of a possible collaboration with Warren Haynes, Metzger drove straight from a RANA recording session in Richmond, VA for his appearance. Meanwhile, at Columbus, OHs PromoWest Pavilion, Yonder Mountain String Bands Jeff Austin sat in with moe. for a first set closing version of Mexico. Austin didnt have to travel too far for his cameo: Yonder Mountain String Band co-headlined the evenings festivities.
