Simultaneously emerging from Colorado and New York, String Cheese Incident and moe. represent the third-generation jamband movement for many music fans. And, while the groups have collaborated in the past, these days, its a rare treat for members of both bands to intersect onstage. But, last night, the two jam-titans did just that at Park City, UTs Suede. During the second-set of String Cheese Incident performance, moe. drummer Vinnie Amico and guitarist Chuck Garvey joined the group for a run through Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother. Amico remained onstage for a freeform jam, while moe. bassist with Rob Derhak replaced Garvey onstage. Garvey later returned to the stage during an encore rendition of Magic Carpet Ride. moe. performs at Suede this Tuesday.

Earlier in the evening, Railroad Earths Tim Carbone, Andy Goessing and John Skehan also augmented String Cheese on Long Way To Go and Whiskey Before Breakfast. In addition Carbone also added violin the Incidents Steppenwolfs cover. Proof that its a small world after all, Railroad Earth will join moe. for a run through the Northwest later this week.
