Before His Crowded Concerts

As usual, the Dave Matthews Band has offered opening spots to a fine mix of musicians this summer. Playing sheds across the country, the Virginia-bred quintet has chosen an eclectic group of support acts, drawn from both inside and outside of the jamband community. Confirmed openers include Jurassic 5 (6/1-4), Robert Randolph and the Family Band (6/5-8 & 13-15), Yonder Mountain String Band (6/12), Howie Day (6/18-22), Blue Merle (6/25-26 & 7/13), Drive-By Truckers (6/28-29), Galactic (7/1-2), G Love and Special Sauce (7/5-10), Marc Broussard (7/14-17), O.A.R (7/20 24), Ray LaMontagne (7/27), Slightly Stoopid (8/15, 25, & 30-31) and North Mississippi Allstars (8/19-21). As previously reported, the Dave Mathews Band will also host a two-day Island Getaway in New York City from July 30-31. The groups latest studio album, _ Stand Up _, hits stores May 10.
