Widespread Panic sprinkled a series of debuts and revivals across its three-night run at Radio City Music Hall. On Thursday, John Bell celebrated his birthday by offering a solo spot at the start of Panic’s second set.
Bell premiered ‘Longer Look’ (originally recorded on Balll) before his bandmates returned to the stage for acoustic renditions of ‘Fishing’ and ‘Space Wrangler.’ A night later, Panic also opened its second set with a its debut take on Al Green’s ‘Love and Happiness.’ A handful of songs also returned to Panic’s set for the first time since 2003: ‘I Walk On Guilded Splinters,’ ‘Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys,’ ‘No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature,’ ‘Tie Your Shoes,’ ‘Don’t Be Denied’ and ‘Low Rider.’
