In between full-band gigs, the members of Medeski, Martin and Wood have linked up with a variety of collaborators. John Medeski has teamed with the

Campbell Brothers for a new studio album (due June 12 on Ropeadope) and a brief tour. Medeski will add keys and provide production duties to the
Sacred Steel group’s forthcoming release and join the group for a short east coast tour from June 13-15. Bill Martin’s Amulet Records has readied the release of Socket’s live album, recorded at New York’s
Tonic (which was recently rescued from closure). Martin joins Shelley Hirsch, Eyvind Kang, Shahzad Ismaily, Min Xiao Fen, Cyro Baptista, Grant
Calvin Weston, Eddie Bobe and Brian Marsella on the improv-heavy set. For his part, Chris Wood has been writing and rehearsing with his brother Oliver
in preparation for New York-area performances on May 10 and 11.
