Last night, Marc Brownstein, Aron Magner and DJ Omen debuted their Conspirator project during an opening spot for Umphreys McGee at Solana Beach, CAs Belly Up Tavern, performing a mix of rearranged Disco Biscuits-staples and new, electronic compositions. Conspirator recently kicked-into full gear, launching a webpage and putting the final touches on its debut album. A regular Brownstein-Magner collaborator, Umphreys McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger also joined the group at the end of its first set. After jamming with the Disco Biscuits-duo on Jam Cruise, Brownstein tapped Cinninger for an appearance on Conspirators forthcoming release.

Later in the evening, Brownstein and Magner appeared with Umphreys McGee on Robot World and Jimmy Stewart, as well as a jam which nodded to both Pink Floyd and Guns N Roses. Conspirator will open for Umphrey’s McGee tonight in Los Angeles and Friday in San Francisco before headlining at Six Rivers Brewery in McKinleyville, CA on Saturday. _ Reporting by Mike Sherry_
