Santana has once again asked a diverse mix of artists to appear on his forthcoming studio album. The Shaman has tapped Robert Randolph, OutKast’s Big Boi, Mary J. Blige, Los Lonely Boys, the Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul, Michelle Branch and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett for All That I Am, due in stores September 6. The noted guitarist’s basic formula since 1999’s hit Supernatural, each artist will appear on one or two cuts, blending rock, pop, hip-hop, Latin and jam. Santana will perform a number of his new compositions during his summer amphitheater tour kicking off May 30 in Tampa, FL. Randolph, Los Lonely Boys and son Salvador Santana will provide support duties, foreshadowing at least a few potential collaborations.
