Carlos Santana , Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter will perform a series of dates together in Japan in remembrance of the 60th year anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Backed by the Santana Band, Emissaries for Peace, as the group is calling itself, will draw from all three musicians’ repertories and perform ‘many well-known songs of peace and healing.’ The trio will perform in Yokohama, Nagasaki and Osaka in late July before concluding in Hiroshima on August 2. Santana is one of the many guests scheduled to appear on Hancock’s forthcoming studio album.
