After working its way through the downtown club circuit, RAQ will perform its first large-scale New York headlining show tonight at BB King Blues Club. Indeed, the groups last appearance at New Yorks Lions Den left a line of ticket-less fans stranded on Sullivan Street. Expanding on the traditional evening with format, RAQ will add a few additional dimensions to its show, including several special guests and a screening of the turntable film _ Scratch _. Scratch will be shown before RAQ takes the stage tonight and will also screen during set break. While promoters are keeping the names of many of the evenings special guests mum until show time, ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro, who is currently touring with Jimmy Buffett and Bela Fleck, has been confirmed to appear. RAQ will appear next at The Big Easy in Portland, ME on June 24 and The Stone Church in Newmarket, NH on June 30.
