On Saturday October 1st, Leeway’s Home Grown Music Network will mark its tenth anniversary with a one-day event both inside and outside Raleigh, North Carolinas Lincoln Theatre. Lee Crumpton founded the HGMN in 1995 to help support music that was neither being played on the radio nor available in major music outlets. The Network has helped to spread the word about hundreds of bands in the intervening years, many of whom will come out to pay their respects on October 1. Confirmed artists include Keller Williams, Barefoot Manner, DJ Williams Projekt, The Bridge and a reunion of Purple Schoolbus with additional performers expected to be announced as the event draws nearer.
