Matisyahu made his second onstage appearance with Trey Anastasio last night at Chicagos Lakefront Pavilion. During Anastasios now regular set-break acoustic segue the Hassidic Reggae star joined the former Phish leader for a version of Bob Marleys No Woman No Cry. Matisyahu, who has opened the majority of Anastasios summer dates, also jammed with Anastasio on the same number at this years Bonnaroo. As Matisyahu took a solo, 70 Volt Parade returned to the stage for the second half of Anastasios show. During his acoustic set, Anastasio also debuted new acoustic arrangements versions of Phishs Mexican Cousin and Oysterheads Birthday Boys, along with stripped down Bathtub Gin and Strange Design. According to reports, Matisyahu talked at great length about his time on Phish tour while an emotional Anastasio discussed tackling Strange Design, a number Page McConnell sang lead on for years with Phish.
