On occasion, readers of this site have sent us emails bemoaning the lack of compelling improvisational music in the state of Florida. This condition will be remedied over the weekend November 11-13 with year two of the Down On The Farm festival. Down On The Farm 2005 will take place at the Spanish Moss Farm and feature two days of Govt Mule as well as music from Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Moonshine Still, Tishamingo, The Headhunters, Robert Walter’s Super Heavy Organ and Blueground Undergrass. Also announced is an Ancient Harmony reunion, with more details on the participants likely to follow in the weeks to come.
