As you no doubt already know, Alektorophobia is the fear of chickens. Well it is also the name of the debut album recorded by Stockholm Syndrome bandmates Eric McFadden and Wally Ingram. The guitarist and drummer recorded Alektorophobia with a number of guest players including Keb’ Mo, Les Claypool, Nels Cline and Pete Sears and are now touring in support of the release.

This weekend McFadden and Ingram are in Colorado, appearing at NedFest. On a day when we have devoted much space to a festival that wont take place, wed like to highlight one (now in its seventh year) that will go on as scheduled. NedFest is this Saturday and Sunday at the Jeff Guercio Memorial Baseball Park in Nederland, Colorado, and also will feature performances by, among others, The Motet featuring Cecil P-Nut Daniel, Kan’Nal, Tony Furtado Band, Vince Herman & The Great American Taxi, the Fareed Haque Group, Shanti Groove, Runaway Truck Ramp and Benny Burle Galloway.
