Saxophonist Martin Fierro is best known for his work in the Legion of Mary, a famed 1970s ensemble also featuring Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders. Last night Fierro also made an appearance with the current version of Steve Kimocks band—-featuring Rodney Holmes, Robert Walter and Jacob Fred Jazz Odysseys Reed Mathis—-at Petaluma , CAs Mystic Theater. Fierro joined the group for a good portion of its second set including Cole’s Law, Tangled Hangers, You’re the One and Tongue ‘n’ Groove.
