Collaborations marked several of JamOff winners Scarecrow Collection’s upstate New York appearances this weekend. Friday night Scarecrow Collection performed at Troy, NY’s Revolution Hall alongside DJ Logic and invited the turntablist onstage for the Talking Heads’ original ‘Making Flippy Floppy’ as well as its own ‘Burgess.’ Later in the evening, at the end of Logic’s solo set, all of Scarecrow Collection returned to the stage to back DJ Logic for 35 minutes of improv and dance grooves.
On Sunday, at the 11th Annual Harvest and Freedom Rally in Bainbridge, NY, the band also welcomed Frank Zappa co-hort Ed Mann to join them on stage. Mann, who appears on such Zappa albums as Sheik Yerbouti, The Man From Utopia and Joe’s Garage added a unique layer of percussion and sounds with his drum machine during the band’s set on Scarecrow Collection originals ‘Burgess,’ ‘Hey My Friend’ and ‘Faster.’ Mann performed his own set of music earlier in the day and later joined Project Object to close out the weekend’s festivities.
Scarecrow Collection next will play next at Ray Kellys Pub this Saturday in Bridgeport, CT and in

Reading, PA and Washington, DC the following week. DJ Logic will be onboard the Xingolati Groove Cruise leaving Long Beach, CA this Friday.
