In 1992, producer Mitchell Froom and engineer Tchad Blake joined Los Lobos in the studio for Kiko, which many hail as the finest offering in the bands thirty-year recording career. The group has never performed the album live in its entirety but come December that will change. Beginning at San Franciscos Fillmore on December 16 and 17, the group will present the album in a series of west coast performances. Looking ahead, guitarist Louie Perez, along with playwright Luis Torres have taken on the task of transforming Kiko into a theatrical production.
