In 1992, the Allman Brothers Band performed a number of concerts at New Yorks Beacon Theater in March, recording certain segments for its comeback live album _ An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band_. During its 1994 spring tour, the Allman Brothers Band returned to the Beacon once again, hosting a string of April shows at the classic theater before moving onward to Starkville, MS. After a year off, the group returned to the Beacon for thirteen nights in March and an annual tradition was born. In 2006, the Allman Brothers Band will perform at the Beacon for the eleventh year in a row, offering thirteen shows beginning March 9 (the group will also perform on March 10, 11, 13 , 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 25). As in past years, members of the ABB will also likely use their time off to gig around town in a variety of other combos.
