Veteran Bay Area saxophonist Martin Fierro has been gigging out quite regularly recently, often with his former Zero bandmate Steve Kimock . Fierro has joined Kimocks new ensemble on several occasions this year, including last night at San Franciscos Great American Music Hall. Fierro emerged during the groups second set, adding tenor saxophone to Severe Tire Damage, Merl’s Boogie and Baby Baby. Kimock will return to the Great American Music Hall tonight for the second night of his four day New Years residency with a friend or two likely to drop before the end of the year.
