Well stay down south for the time being to offer a report on moe.s annual New Years Eve extravaganza. As a treat, moe. kicked off its performance at Asheville, NCs Thomas Wolfe Auditorium with a special acoustic set which included New York City, That Country Tune and a segue between Not Coming Down and Four, among others. At the end of the groups second set, moe. also busted out Lazarus for the first time since November 6, 2002. Later, moe. opened its third set with the traditional Auld Lang Syne, with Rob Derhak supplying lead vocals, before slipping into the debut reading of the Whos Join Together. After a quick break, moe. will return to the road for a performance at Bostons The Orpheum Theatre on January 19.
