In addition to being a stunning bass player, Victor Wooten also apparently is an accomplished outdoorsman. He will share his skills with fellow nature enthusiasts on April 8-14 via the Wilderness Survival & Nature Awareness Program. Wooten will serve as guest instructor for the program which will teach individuals how to survive in the wild for extended stretches. Lessons include: how to make shelter, how to create fire by rubbing sticks together, how to identify edible wild plants and how to make a natural bowl, from a solid chunk of wood, without any tools (thats an eating bowl, ladies and gentlemen, and the staff will also explain how to cook in it as well). Richard Clevelands Earth School in based in North Carolina, with full details available at its web site.
