A number of high-profile artists have been added to the lineup for the third annual Wakarusa festival. Govt Mule, Les Claypool, The Disco Biscuits, Oteil & the Peacemakers, Todd Snider, Gabby La La, Bob Schneider, Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons and JamOff winners (and former New Groove of the month) Green Lemon will join the growing lineup which already includes such artists as Robert Randolph, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, the Yonder Mountain String Band, Cracker, the Duo, ALO and Donna the Buffalo, among others. Tonight, a number of local bands will also compete at Columbia, MOs MoJos for a chance to perform at Wakarusa as part of the traveling Battlerusa battle of the bands. As previously reported, Wakarusa will take place in Lawrence, KS from June 8-10.
