Over the weekend, Steve Kimock celebrated Mardi Gras a few days early with a trio of New Orleans legends. On both Friday and Saturday, Kimock sat in with PBS (George Porter Jr., Russell Batiste and Brian Stoltz) for the trios entire performance at Teaneck, NJs Mexicali Blues. Adorned with Mardi Gras decorations and floats, the quartet ran through a number of New Orleans party anthems such as All We Wanna Do (Is Get Funky 4 You) and Right Place, Wrong Time, as well renditions of Kimock-staples like You’re The One. Kimocks next scheduled gig is a reunion performance with Zero on March 9, while PBS is off until its April 14 gig at Blue Lake, CAs Blue Lake Casino.
