On Saturday, Steve Kimock led an all-star ensemble at Fayetteville, ARs George’s Majestic as part of the Save the Dave benefit. A concert to raise money for Mountain of Venus bassist Dave Gesualdo, who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, the one-off group also featured guitarist Steve Pryor, bassist Martin Fierro (Legion of Mary), bassist Casey Van Beek (Eric Clapton) and drummer Mike ‘Stingray’ Garrett, as well as appearances from guitarist Dylan Layton, drummer Scott Mariner and vocalist Tanya Shylock. Throughout the night the all-star group ran through a number of popular covers including the Rolling Stones Dead Flowers, Jimmy Cliffs The Harder They Come and John Coltranes My Favorite Things, with Kimock also trying his luck on vocals during the course of the night.
Kimocks next scheduled performances are a trio of reunion performances with Zero at Denvers Cervantes from March 9-11.
