Widespread Panic has confirmed that Earth To America is the title of its next studio effort, which is slated for a June release. For this recording the group opted to travel away from John Keane and its Georgia homebase, opting instead to work with producer Terry Manning at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas (although as Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann states in an interview to run later today on Jambands.com, We love John Keane, and he will work with us many times in the future, but we needed to get away and just confine ourselves. ). While Panic has only announced four spring dates, it will be offering fans who cannot attend its Raleigh or Atlanta shows the opportunity to see the group perform live. The bands May 9 performance at the Fox Theater will be simulcast via Regal Cinemas and National Cinemedia, with additional information soon to follow at www.bigscreenconcerts.com.
