The reports from Jam in the Dam continue to traverse the transom. A day after Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey’s Brian Haas joined the Benevento Russo Duo’s set, the piano-freak returned with his bandmates, Jason Smart and Reed Mathis for an experimental round-robin jazz-jam for a round robin jam. During the improvisational sequence, Charlie Hunter and Bobby Previte also joined in the fray, temporarily expanding the Duo to a septet. Smart and Mathis are currently touring in Europe with the JFJO, while Hunter is doing the same with Prevites Coalition of the Willing.
