As weve mentioned, the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival is going to close out at the Ziegfeld Theater on April 23, 6:30PM with the premiere of Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Rock Club, a documentary film that looks back at fabled New York music venue Wetlands Preserve. The film incorporates archival footage, soundboard recordings and the efforts of a dozen digital animators to chronicle the clubs tenure from February 1989 through September 2001. Wetlands Preserved features music from Phish, Blues Traveler, moe., The Disco Biscuits, Dave Matthews Band, Sublime, Ben Harper, Spearhead, 311, Ani DiFranco, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Spin Doctors, Fishbone, Agnostic Front and many additional artists.
We have a few tickets to the screening that we are going to offer to our readers via a trivia contest. Please feel free to answer EITHER question:
1.What was the first band to perform at Wetlands?
2.What celebrated songwriter performed the opening set on the clubs closing night?
We will randomly select winners from those who provide the correct answer to either question. Send your answer to [email protected] and be sure to place the word Wetlands in the subject line. In addition, please include your name in the body of the email. You have until Monday morning at 10AM EST to send us your entry. We will notify all winners by Monday at noon.

A dwindling number of tickets to the screening are available via the Relix web site.
