Ryan Adams solo show at the Portlands Roseland Theatre last evening featured a few additional players. Early on, longtime Adams collaborator Jesse Malin appeared on a version of Solitaire. A bit later, more recent Adams collaborator Phil Lesh stepped up for a version of Stella Blue and then a set-closing run from Wharf Rat into Magnolia Mountain. Lesh perfomed on Adams’ acoustic guitar labeled Owsley. Adams travels to the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco for gigs on Wednesday and Thursday. Lesh next performs with Phil & Friends at the Warfield Theatre on May 18.
