Last evening Widespread Panic performed the first of two nights at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. Joining the group over the course of the evening were two of its longtime associates: John Keane and Randall Bramblett. Keane, who first worked with the band as producer and engineer of its 1988 studio debut (but is sitting out Panics forthcoming release, Earth To America) appeared on pedal steel and guitar for versions of Space Wrangler, Party At Your Mama’s House, Goin’ Out West, North and Bowlegged Woman that spanned both sets. Bramblett added sax to Goin’ Out West along with Junco Partner and Life During Wartime. Both Keane and Bramblett may well be on hand tonight as Widespread Panics performance is simulcast to theaters nationwide.
