Cosmic Break at 10,000 Lakes

The 10,000 Lakes Festival has announced the winners of its regional Cosmic Break contest: Kinetix (Denver, CO), Jazzholes (Omeha, NE), Public Property (Iowa City),Cool Waters Band (Appleton, WI), WBPN (Fargo, ND), Soap (Champaign, IL), Cornmeal (Chicago), Stealin’ Strings (Milwaukee, WI), Gold Standard (Minneapolis, MN), Hyentyte (Minneapolis, MN) and Madahoochi (St. Louis, MO). Each band competed in the festivals traveling Cosmic Break contest and will perform at the multi-day festival, scheduled to take place July 19-22. In addition, the festival is asking for fans to vote in its The Cosmic Break Online Voting Booth for the festivals three-remaining slots. Over thirty bands are currently in the running, hailing from cities across the country. All three-winning bands will also be featured on 10,000 Lakes official podcast, Relixs Cold Turkey, who will be offering music, news and interviews directly from the festival grounds. As previously reported, 1the fourth annual 10,000 Lakes features an eclectic mix of musicians included Phil Lesh, Trey Anastasio, O.A.R., String Cheese Incident, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, MMW, Mike Gordon, the Duo, Umphreys McGee and Tea Leaf Green, among others.
